Easter Sunday, 1941

A bit of a change of pace from our usual YouTube offerings, to put it mildly. But for the day that’s in it, here’s a Traditional Latin Mass narrated by the late Archbishop Fulton Sheen. Enjoy.

Happy Easter, and Nice clip. Here’s a short one of Diarmuid Martin celebrating pontifical Mass, very imperfectly, in St Audeon’s Dublin with Frs Deighan and Nevin as deacon and subdeacon (…LM has since moved to Harrington St – congregation has more than doubled):

The rubrics for pontifical Mass are extremely complex. Poor Diamuid (naturally a very ‘get up and go’ person anyway) vastly overestimated his own capabilities, and required continuous prompting, to the amusement of the congregation.

He now personally confirms candidates in the old rite in Harrington St every year.

Thanks for posting! Hopefully we will see greater use of the TLM in Ireland in the years to come!
